Paneer Biryani

Ingredients
cups rice
500gm paneer diced and fried
2 cups onions
2 cups tomatoes
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp ginger
1 tbsp garlic
1 tbsp dania powder
1 tsp jeera powder
1 tsp garam masala
salt
A pinch of saffron mixed in water
7 pepper corns
7 cloves
2 bay leaves
1 cinnamon
fresh coriander

Method
Par boil the rice with 2 cups of water.
Heat oil on a large pan, add cumin and onions,saute well till they turn brown, add green chillis.
On medium,add the cinnamon,bay leaves,pepper corm cloves and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the tomatoes,salt,chilli powder,dania powder,jeera powder and garam masala and cook.
Add the fried paneer cubes and cook for 5 minutes till it forms a thick gravy.
In a non-stick pam, put a layer of paneer gravy without paneer and a layer of rice.
Alternate layers of gravy,rice and paneer with the top layer being rice.
Crush saffron in water and mix in water and pour over the rice.
Cover and cook for 15 minutes on low flame.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with raita.
